LiHV cells extend charge to 4.35 V each—use only on supported chargers and ESCs.

NiMH / NiCd / LiFe Batteries

  • NiMH: 1.2 V per cell (7 cells ≈ 8.4 V). Tolerant to cold and ideal for beginners.
  • NiCd: Older chemistry prone to memory effect – rare in modern RC.
  • LiFe: 3.3 V per cell – safer chemistry used in transmitters and starter boxes.

C‑Ratings & Connectors

  • C Rating = Discharge current × capacity (A). Example: 5000 mAh × 35C = 175 A burst.
  • Popular connectors: Deans (T‑Plug), XT60, XT90, IC5/IC3, QS8, EC5.
