New for 2026: FMS FCX18 II Ford F-100
The FMS FCX18 II Ford F-100 introduces a substantially redesigned second-generation 1/18 platform rather than simply placing a new body on the original FCX18 chassis. It combines an officially licensed sixth-generation Ford F-100 hard body with a lower motor and transmission layout, a flatter skid plate, revised suspension geometry, and a magnetic quick-release body system.

The lower center of gravity should improve stability, while the straight axles, 199mm wheelbase, and 58mm tires give the F-100 a more scale-correct stance. Those same choices also mean it may have less breakover and axle clearance than the portal-axle FCX18 on extreme obstacles. That performance tradeoff remains to be verified through hands-on testing.
FCX18 II Platform Expansion: F-100 vs Ford Bronco
FMS has now confirmed both FCX18 II wheelbase families with production vehicles. The Ford F-100 uses the longer 199mm pickup chassis, while the newly listed 2021 Ford Bronco uses the compact 160mm SUV chassis. Both share the FCX18 II low-center-of-gravity layout, solid axles, two-speed transmission, magnetic quick-release body system, metal chassis components, and 58mm BFGoodrich KO3 tires.

The Bronco measures 276 x 124 x 129mm with a 160mm wheelbase, 31mm ground clearance, a 54-degree approach angle, and a 46-degree departure angle. FMS also equips it with a functional full-size spare tire, licensed NOMAD wheels, a molded interior, and the same magnetic body-and-lighting connection concept used across the FCX18 II platform.
The shorter wheelbase changes the vehicle's proportions and may make the Bronco easier to place on tighter sections of a trail, while the longer F-100 retains the classic pickup look and longer stance.
