Battery + Connector Tips (Most Common Confusion)

Confirm your cell count (2S/3S/4S) matches the ESC rating
Don’t run packs below safe voltage; use LVC on the ESC
Use storage voltage when not running for a while

Setup & Tuning

Steering Setup (End Points)

A ton of “my steering died” issues are actually endpoints set too high.

Reduce EPA until the wheels reach full lock without forcing the servo
Check the servo horn and linkage for binding

Gear Mesh (Noise = Damage)

If it’s too tight → heat + stripped spur/pinion
If it’s too loose → clicky/slipping sound + stripped teeth

Rule of thumb: slight wiggle, smooth roll by hand.

Throttle Calibration (ESC Won’t Arm / No Throttle)

If the car powers on but won’t drive:

Recalibrate endpoints on the ESC
Center trims and throttle at neutral first

Common Upgrades (Best Bang for Buck)

1) Steering Servo

Most RTR servos fail early
Upgrade improves control and durability

2) Tires

Biggest “feel” improvement, especially on-road
Match rubber to your surface (asphalt vs dirt)

3) Cooling (Fan / Heatsink)

If you’re gearing up or running in heat, cooling prevents thermal cutoff

4) Metal driveline parts (Selective)

Upgrade only the weak link (don’t turn the whole car into heavy metal)
Focus on: hubs, diff outdrives, center shaft (model dependent)

Troubleshooting (Fast Answers)

RC powers on, but won’t move

Check motor bullets and ESC calibration
Inspect pinion set screw
Confirm receiver is bound and ESC lead is on CH2
